I love collaborating with artists, singers, filmmakers, and producers, helping them bring their stories to life. My passion lies in working with live instruments and a musician's performance. From guitars and drums, through to string and horn sections, it's always a joy. I love the technical side to it all, creating space, depth and clarity between instruments and voices, but the most rewarding moment is when a project truly resonates, delivering the emotion and feel the artist envisioned.
I have worked with independent artists, podcasters, content creators and filmmakers all over the world and delivered mixes that have been listened to over a million times across streaming platforms, international radio stations, video streaming platforms and even independent film festivals in the US.
Here is a short compilation of songs I have mixed for songwriters, musicians and filmmakers.
Having used the full Izotope RX suite for things like podcast clean up, tape hiss removal, and unwanted clicks and pops during live instrument takes etc, I took to dialogue cleanup for film and video very quickly, plus the added fun of re-building the scene afterwards with foley effects and scene-appropriate ambience.
The scene below is my favourite example. Cidacas are not easy to get rid of, they are loud and they cover a wide range of frequencies! I think this was a success though, and the client is happy.
This is a scene from pre-production and does not contain various sound design elements.
Having worked with audio for many years, I can quickly pinpoint problems that need addressing, frequency issues, tonal inconsistencies, etc. I am confident I can always find a solution. Audio cleanup can be a destructive process, so it’s essential to collaborate closely with the production team to assess the context (i.e., is there music or sound design in the scene?) to deliver the best results with minimal loss of fidelity.
A collection of short motion graphic elements I’ve created in Adobe After Effects - generally intended to be part of a wider video. I’ve been editing videos for years, and since discovering motion graphics, it has come naturally to me. I always look forward to adding a little flair to videos through dynamic text and motion graphic elements.
I love to capture footage and build entire videos from the ground up.
I don't just make video content for businesses, I love to make my own and I've found YouTube to be the purest form of artistic expression. I make fairly niche music, and never expected much of an audience, but YouTube has given me a platform where I can document what I do. I film myself writing and recording songs and have started to build an audience to the point of YouTube monetisation and even my first brand deal from audio company XVive.
I have created successful short-form content too, with several viral videos on TikTok, which combined with YouTube has meant over a million people have watched my own work at this point. Having worked extensively with both audio and video, I can bring ideas to life, shaping content from scratch that connects with an audience.
I have a lot of fun with this stuff. It's a hobby, but I am able to apply these skills to things like event posters, YouTube thumbnails, and graphic design elements for social media and website. I have done graphic design tasks in the past for businesses I worked at. Things like product announcements, social media posts, cover photos, and graphic elements of videos.
